The Mini and Junior section at Leigh Rugby Union Football Club has been established for over 30 years and has produced several players that have represented the North of England.
Age groups fall into categories of rugby as prescribed by the RFU continuum:

Under 6 to Under 8 Tag rugby (non contact) - 7 a side

Under 9 and Under 10 Full contact - 9 a side

Under 11 Full contact - 12 a side

Under 12 Full contact - 13 a side

Under 13 – Under 16 Full contact - 15 a side

Under 17 to Under 18 Full contact - 15 a side

For Under 7 to Under 16s coaching sessions are held on Sunday mornings (10:30-12 noon) and matches are arranged throughout the year, either home or away, according to the structured season.
