Leigh entertained newcomers to the League, Keswick, at a wet Round Ash Park earlier yesterday.
A Rob Drake penalty put Leigh in front but Keswick soon responded with a try before another Rob Drake penalty recaptured the lead.
An Ellis Noon try extended Leigh’s lead but Keswick narrowed the deficit to three points with a penalty, to take the sides off at the break with Leigh leading by eleven points to eight.
Three second half penalties took Keswick into a six point lead but it was Captain, Rob Drake, who grabbed the victory for Leigh with two late, unconverted tries.
Final Score Leigh 21 Keswick 17.
Leigh are currently second placed five points behind the League Leaders, Anselmians, in North Two West.
