Bulldogs off to a flier

The Bulldogs began the new season in style with a home win over local rivals Orrell.

Both teams were significantly depleted with Will J and Jenson making their debuts. Two Bulldogs players at a time rotated to help out Orrell.

Sammy scored the first try of the season following an offload from Will James. Noah converted.

Soon after Stephen scored under the posts with a world class shimmy. Again Noah converted to double the lead.

Will James helped himself to the third try with the conversion missed.

Stephen then turned poacher and scored Orrell's inaugural try, the conversion was missed.

Jimmy Q made a sensational break from his own half to score with Noah adding the extras.

Will James scored his second try of the game to extend the Bulldogs lead, the conversion was missed.

Noah then piled on the points with an excellent try which he then converted.

Orrell hit back with a converted try and then a rather peculiar additional try to make the score 38-17.

Harrison G steadied the ship with a fine try which was unconverted.

Orrell had the final word with an unconverted try to bring the game to an end.
