Lancashire Junior Finals Day at Leigh RUFC

On Sunday 28th April 2024, Leigh RUFC will be hosting the Lancashire Junior Vase and Cup Finals for the Under 14’s, Under 15’s and Under 16’s.

On Sunday 28th April 2024, Leigh RUFC will be hosting the Lancashire Junior Vase and Cup Finals for the Under 14’s, Under 15’s and Under 16’s.

We are looking forward to welcoming County RFU representatives, the players, coaches and officials of the teams and their travelling supporters. For those who have not visited us before our address is Leigh RUFC, Hand Lane, Leigh, WN7 3NA.

All games will take place on pitches 1 and 2. There will be food and drink available to purchase throughout the day. All presentations shall take place in the marquee on pitch 1.

PARKING AND ADMISSION (Fees are determined by Lancashire County RFU)

Free Parking - Visitors are encouraged to share cars where possible to reduce delays in entry. Our parking attendants will direct you to available spaces. Please be respectful of our neighbours and do not park on the street blocking driveways etc. If your team are arriving by coach please make arrangements with us in advance so our attendants can direct your driver to a suitable parking area on the day.

  • Players, Coaches and Team management Free.
  • Adults £4.
  • 5-16 years old and concessions £1.
  • Under 5s Free.

Cash and card payments will be available on the day.

Please note - Gate receipts pay for the players meals and help contribute towards the overheads incurred in running a successful Finals Day. Please do not harass our gate volunteers by attempting to avoid payment. Thank you.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
All teams have been sent a document for the day providing relevant information. The points below are a summary of the document.

Squad entry – Team managers are required to provide a squad and coach numbers in advance to prepare catering. A pack containing player wristbands and tokens for food will be handed to each team manager on arrival.

Registration - Teams should plan to arrive and register their squads at least 1 hour and 15 minutes before kick-off.

Changing - Teams will be allocated a changing room on arrival. These will not be locked. It is each team's responsibility to take care of their own valuables on the day.

Warm Up - Teams will be allocated a warm up area 1 hour before their kick off and will be required to be on their pitch, ready to play 5 mins before kick off.

First Aid – Teams should provide their own qualified first aider to attend to player injuries. We will also have trained first aiders on site. In the event of an incident requiring emergency services visitors should inform a member of the Leigh RUFC volunteer team.

During the Match - Other than bringing on water onto the pitch, replacements and a maximum of 3 Team Officials should remain within the marked technical areas. Spectators must not abuse the players or match officials and must remain outside the playing enclosure behind barriers at all times and must never enter the field of play.

Presentations - will take place after each final in the marquee adjacent to pitch 1. Teams will then be able to go to the clubhouse to get showered and changed then get their food.


HOSPITALITY
Food and drink will be available to purchase all day from 10:15. Alcohol shall be available from 12:00. Cash and card are both accepted for food and drink.

Visitors are NOT PERMITTED to bring their own Alcoholic Beverages into the ground. Failure to observe this regulation will result in non-admittance or ejection from the ground.


DOGS
Leigh RUFC welcomes all friendly dogs with well-behaved owners. Dogs are welcome onsite but must remain on a lead at all times. Please ensure when nature calls, any mess is picked up and put into one of the bins around the pitches.
