Following our recent announcement regarding the sad passing of our friend from Leigh Cricket, Tennis and Bowling Club, Tony Hatton, we have now been advised of the details of Tony’s funeral arrangements.

Tony passed away peacefully on 24 February at the age of 57. As Chairman of Leigh Cricket, Tennis and Bowling Club, he gave tremendous service to his club and to the wider sporting community in Leigh. His warmth, humour and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Tony’s funeral will take place at Leigh Parish Church on Tuesday 24 March at 10:00am, followed by a wake at his beloved Leigh Cricket Club. All are welcome to attend. In keeping with Tony’s character, guests are invited to wear a splash of red if possible.

Leigh RUFC and Leigh Cricket, Tennis and Bowling Club share a long-standing friendship, and many of our members knew Tony personally. Those who wish to pay their respects are warmly encouraged to attend.
