It is with deep regret and great sadness that we inform our members of the passing of our friend from Leigh Cricket, Tennis and Bowling Club, Tony Hatton.
Tony served as Chairman of Leigh CTBC for several years and gave an enormous amount of time, care and leadership to his club. His passing at such a young age is both shocking and untimely, and the news has been received with genuine sorrow across our community.
Leigh RUFC and Leigh CTBC share a long-standing friendship, and many of our members have known Tony personally. He was widely regarded as a warm, welcoming and committed clubman — someone who represented the very best of volunteer sport.
On behalf of everyone at Leigh RUFC, we extend our sincerest condolences to Tony’s family and friends, and to all our friends at Leigh Cricket, Tennis and Bowling Club.
