Leigh go down fighting to the League Leaders Broughton Park

Leigh travelled to the League leaders, Broughton Park, with several enforced changes to their personnel following cry offs during the morning before the game – it was always going to be an uphill struggle.

Broughton Park had their first try on the board after three minutes and that set the theme for the day. Leigh battled hard and made Broughton fight for every one of their points but they ran out worthy winners by 46 points to nil, scoring eight tries and three conversions along the way.

Congratulations to Broughton Park for their fine display and may we wish them well in their quest for promotion, they are certainly the best side that Leigh have
played this season.
