The Leigh bubble of form, going back to October was finally burst with a heavy defeat at the ground of the new league leaders and title favourites.

Leigh went into the game hindered by injuries to Ryan Mckinstry and Calvin Crompton.
This was compounded, when backrower Chris Morgan was stranded due to a motorway accident, and a further injury to key forward Steve Millard stretched their thin resources beyond the limit.
Despite their problems, Leigh started the better, and applied early pressure to the home line.
The failure to take early points was critical, as LSH started to dominate. A penalty and try soon had the home side in control, and although Leigh battled manfully, they could not prevent a further converted try before the interval.
The second period saw LSH in complete control as they topped the forty point mark without reply. Leigh never gave up, but had to concede supremacy to an excellent side who look likely to play at a higher level next season.

Leigh must now regroup, and try to return to the form that had seen them climb the league in recent months.
